Elf idea: Write back to the elf
The elf has left a letter asking a question and a blank sheet for the kids to reply. It takes about 5 minutes and hardly any effort; you need paper, card and envelopes, felt tips, crayons and a marker pen.

How to do it
- Write a short letter asking the kids one question: favourite thing about Christmas.
- Leave blank paper and a pen beside it.
- Tomorrow night, leave the elf's answer to their reply. The app can't read it, so this bit is you.
