Elf idea: Trapped under a glass
The elf is trapped under an upturned glass with a 'Caught in the act' note. It takes about 2 minutes and hardly any effort; you need mugs, cups, bowls, a baking tray, wooden spoon and straws, paper, card and envelopes, felt tips, crayons and a marker pen.

How to do it
- Sit the elf on the table and put a big plastic tumbler or clear jug over it (plastic if little hands will lift it).
- Write 'Caught! Release before breakfast.'
- Tuck a sweet wrapper under the glass too.
