Elf idea: Magic sweet seeds
The elf leaves 'magic seeds' (sprinkles) to plant in a cup; by morning a lolly or candy cane has grown. It takes about 10 minutes and a little effort; you need cake sprinkles or hundreds and thousands, mugs, cups, bowls, a baking tray, wooden spoon and straws, candy canes, paper, card and envelopes, felt tips, crayons and a marker pen.

- What you need
- Cake sprinkles or hundreds and thousands
- Mugs, cups, bowls, a baking tray, wooden spoon and straws
- Candy canes
- Paper, card and envelopes
- Felt tips, crayons and a marker pen
How to do it
- Night 1: leave a cup of sugar with a few sprinkles 'seeds' and a note to plant them.
- Night 2: push a candy cane or lolly into the cup as if it grew.
- Sit the elf with a tiny watering can drawn on paper.

Shoot the cup with the 'grown' sweet standing tall.
