Elf idea: Paper plane landing
The elf has crash-landed on a paper plane with a runway of fairy lights. It takes about 10 minutes and a little effort; you need paper, card and envelopes, battery fairy lights, battery tea lights or tinsel, felt tips, crayons and a marker pen.

A morning line from your elf
I'd like to report a slightly wonky landing. Nobody hurt. Plane needs a wash.
