Elf idea: A tiny door appears
A little cardboard door has appeared on the skirting board with the elf beside it. It takes about 15 minutes and a little effort; you need paper, card and envelopes, felt tips, crayons and a marker pen, scissors and a glue stick, sticky tape, masking tape or plasters.

How to do it
- Cut a small door shape from card and colour it red or green.
- Draw a handle, a wreath and a letterbox.
- Tape it to the skirting board low down.
- Sit the elf beside the door with a tiny 'Welcome' mat made from paper.
